Call: 2019

Georgina joined Chambers as a tenant in October 2023 following the successful completion of her specialist family pupillage under the supervision of Zoë Saunders.

During pupillage, Georgina observed a number of high-value claims for financial relief, involving complicated financial structures, pre-acquired or inherited assets and trusts and multiple jurisdictions, as well as a wide range of private children law work and cohabitation disputes involving ToLATA. Georgina gained experience assisting on cases in the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

Georgina acts in all aspects of family finance proceedings, including matrimonial finance, enforcement, applications pursuant to TOLATA 1996, and applications under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989. Georgina has experience in dealing with cases which include non-disclosure of marital assets, setting aside transactions intended to prevent financial relief and reporting restriction orders for high profile clients within financial proceedings.

Georgina further acts on behalf of all parties in private children disputes, ranging from contact, education, relocation and residence. She has experience in handling cases involving allegations of domestic abuse, coercive and controlling behaviour, substance misuse, mental health issues, parental alienation and intractable contact disputes. Georgina also acts for both applicants and respondents within Family Law Act 1996 applications for non-molestation and occupation orders.

She has recently been praised by clients for her extremely thorough preparation and forward thinking.

Prior to joining Chambers, Georgina worked at a leading London law firm in Mayfair, specialising in financial remedies and private children law for ultra-high net worth clients. The cases which Georgina assisted with often had an international element, concerned pre-nuptial agreements or had substantial asset Part III claims.

Before deciding to pursue a career at the Bar, Georgina was a professional dressage rider, a member of the Junior/Young Rider Great Britain Dressage Squads and was selected for the British Equestrian Federation Talent Squad.
