Position

Albert’s practice as an advocate and advisor spans commercial litigation and arbitration, company law, insolvency, banking & financial services, financial regulation, civil fraud and asset recovery, and civil recovery under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

Career

Albert regularly appears before courts and tribunals with leaders or as sole counsel and has substantial experience of working with large teams of lawyers and experts.

Many of Albert’s cases involve an international element, and his experience includes advising in relation to matters involving foreign jurisdictions including the Dubai International Financial Centre, the BVI, New York, Switzerland, Singapore and Hong Kong.

In addition to his busy private practice, Albert has been appointed to the Attorney General’s C Panel of Counsel and he regularly undertakes civil work on behalf of the UK government.

Albert also writes regularly on the areas in which he specializes. He has contributed to Loose & Griffiths on Liquidators and Butterworth’s Financial Regulation Service, and has written a number of articles for LexisPSL on banking and finance matters.

Before coming to the Bar, Albert read History and Modern Languages at Merton College, Oxford, where he also gained a Master’s degree in Modern Languages.
