Position

Eswar joined Chambers in 2023 following successful completion of his pupillage, and practises in all of Chambers’ areas of expertise. He has particular interest in sports, employment, civil fraud, product liability, private international law, and general commercial matters.

Career

Before transferring to the Bar, Eswar was a solicitor in Slaughter and May’s Dispute Resolution team where he worked on high-value disputes (including litigation in the High Court and Court of Appeal, international arbitration, and mediation) in various industries, such as banking and finance, construction, consumer goods, and sport. Eswar was part of the team that acted for the successful local authority in Essex County Council v UBB Waste (Essex) Limited [2020] EWHC 1581 (TCC), determined after a six-week trial in the TCC.

Eswar has advised a wide range of clients, including various Premiership football clubs and a Formula One racing team. He has a busy court practice, appears in the High Court as sole counsel and also accepts instructions as junior counsel (he is currently instructed as junior counsel in the Diesel Emissions Group Litigation and the Grenfell Tower Litigation).
