Position

Poppy practises in all of Chambers’ areas of expertise. She has a particular interest in clinical negligence, personal injury, employment, private international, property damage and insurance matters.

Poppy has advised a wide range of clients, from the NHS to the MIB. She has a busy court practice, appearing regularly in the County Court and advises as sole counsel in a wide range of areas. She also accepts instructions as junior counsel.

Career

Call 2023

Prior to coming to the Bar, Poppy studied law at the University of Cambridge, where she graduated with a Double First Class undergraduate degree and read for the LLM the following year. From 2021 to 2022 she was the Judicial Assistant to Lord Justice Peter Jackson and Lord Justice Baker in the Court of Appeal where she assisted on appeals such as The Public Institution for Social Security v Al Rajaan & others [2022] EWCA 29 and R (on the application of D4) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2022] EWCA 33.
