Jide Lanlehin is a very experienced dual qualified Barrister who practises both in the UK and Nigeria, combining alternative dispute resolution with high end criminal law practice.
Jide is a very persuasive advocate in the criminal courts in England and Wales as well as a forensic and excellent cross-examiner. In criminal law, Jide has an in-depth experience in all aspects of financial crimes (including fraud and money laundering), drug importation, sexual offences and murder. He has appeared in the last two decades in several cases involving rape and historical sexual offences, where the victims have been women and children (male and female). He is especially qualified and experienced in the cross-examination of vulnerable witnesses in sexual offences which requires deftness and sensitivity.
Additionally, Jide acts as leading and sole counsel in high-value, complex disputes and advises clients on difficult legal and strategic issues, specifically in international business transactions and negotiations between UK and Nigeria. With his amiable, interpersonal skills, he has achieved tremendous successful outcomes for his clients. Recently, he has been instructed in a number of complex arbitration and mediation disputes.
