Experience:

Zoë is an empathetic family lawyer with an extensive practice and an active interest in the psychological problems associated with family law. She also practices in civil law with an emphasis on property and probate matters.
She provides strong and steadfast support for her clients while developing and retaining a firm grasp of the legal complexities associated with each case, strengthening her ability to fight her clients’ corner.

Family:

  • Public law: including non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, domestic violence, drug and alcohol dependency, severe mental health issues and neglect. Zoë represents all parties involved, from guardian to grandparents.
  • Private law: including sexual abuse, domestic violence, drug and alcohol dependency, child arrangements orders and removal from the jurisdiction.

  • Financial Remedy: Zoë is a highly regarded financial remedies specialist with significant experience in both matrimonial finance and cohabitation disputes. She is noted for her calm approachable manner, ability to digest highly complex information and the provision of firm and pragmatic advice.

Probate:

  • Probate, including administration of estates, the removal or substitution of personal representatives.
  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975.
  • Contentious probate; for example, questions as to the construction of wills; challenges to the validity of wills based on lack of testamentary capacity, want of knowledge and approval, undue influence, and fraud; cases arising from intestacy; claims against personal representatives, etc.

Property:

  • Private landlord and tenant (commercial and residential), including possession claims, dilapidations, assignment of leases, forfeiture (and relief therefrom), and tenancy deposits
  • Trusts/TOLATA, particularly proprietary estoppel and constructive/resulting trust cases
  • Easements, including in particular rights of way and parking easements
  • Boundary disputes

Direct Public Access:
Zoë is a highly skilled advocate and regularly appears in court at all levels. She is primarily instructed by solicitors, but additionally accepts Direct Access instructions from members of the public in appropriate circumstances.
