Position

Specialisms: business, chancery, family, regulatory and PI. Personal injury: Amanda is regularly instructed in personal injury cases including small claims and infant approvals. Amanda has dealt with road traffic and credit hire cases, acting for both claimants and defendants. Amanda has also undertaken work in relation to obtaining charging orders, unless orders, pre-action disclosure and Norwich Pharmacal Orders. Amanda drafts pleadings, advices and skeleton arguments. Family: Amanda has appeared in cases involving many aspects of children work and has been instructed in contact matters, contested injunctions, private law disputes and cases concerning domestic violence. In public law cases, Amanda has been instructed on behalf of parents, guardians and the local authority, appearing regularly in the Family Proceedings and County Courts and has also appeared in the High Court. Business and insolvency: Amanda accepts instructions in relation to commercial and contractual disputes including breach of contract, credit hire, debt recovery and sale of goods. Amanda advises on commercial transactions as well as acting on behalf of both claimants and defendants. Work is also undertaken in relation to corporate and personal insolvency matters including bankruptcy and voluntary agreements. Chancery: Amanda is instructed in relation to landlord and tenant matters including both residential and business tenancies as well as service charge and breach of covenant matters.

Durham University (2008 LLB First Class (Honours)); University of Northumbria (2009 BVC, Outstanding); Chancery Chambers Award (2009); awarded for Best Overall Pupil on the Northumbria BVC; Lincoln’s Inn Buchanan Award 2009; awarded for obtaining an Outstanding Grade on the BVC.
