Sally Homer

Position

Sally joined New Court Chambers as a tenant in 2012 following successful completion of her pupillage.

She has a wealth of experience in all areas of family law having worked in both private practice and the public sector. Sally has also practised in criminal and mental health law.

Sally came to the Bar as an experienced advocate having conducted hearings in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and the High Court representing clients from first appointment through to final hearing. She is regularly instructed on behalf of Local Authorities in public law proceedings and has an excellent understanding of Local Authority internal procedures having worked ‘in-house’ for a number of years.

Sally also has considerable experience of representing lay parties and is skilled at representing vulnerable clients, particularly those with complex mental health problems, with sensitivity and understanding.

Career

Called to the Bar in 2012; Lincoln's Inn.  Prior to being called to the Bar, Sally practised as a Solicitor having qualified in 2006.
