How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
With a proactive and strategic approach, by identifying possible risk, followed by maintaining effective communication with top management and stakeholders (internal and external), and maintaining the ability to review and adapt the strategy on the basis of a contingent plan.
What are the main cases or transactions that you have been involved in recently?
I have been directly involved in all the recent M&A transactions, four acquisitions in the last six month (two in China, one in UK and the last one in Italy). Additionally, I’m directly involved in the execution of all the actions related to the 2024 ESG targets.
How do you measure the impact of ESG initiatives on the company’s overall performance and reputation?
Being a listed company, in the FTSE MIB, with an ESG Plan published, I tend to say ESG initiatives have a significant role on the overall stock performance and on the company reputation.
How have you integrated technology into your legal processes, and what impact has this had on efficiency and compliance?
Apart from being equipped with digitalisation tools for legal and corporate processes for some time now, we are starting to explore the possible integrations in terms of efficiency of some AI tools, but always guaranteeing careful checks on security, privacy and compliance issues.
