Managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises requires a proactive approach that aligns legal considerations with our business strategy to ensure organisational resilience. I begin by conducting a thorough risk assessment to identify vulnerabilities in contracts, regulatory compliance, and potential litigation risks that could be exacerbated during crises. This helps us develop scenario-based legal strategies that anticipate various challenges such as regulatory changes or contractual disputes. 

Clear communication channels between our legal team and key stakeholders are crucial to ensure that legal decisions are aligned with our business objectives. We stay agile by closely monitoring legal and regulatory landscapes, allowing us to adapt quickly to any changes that may impact our operations or liabilities. 

Collaboration across teams is essential to maintain legal compliance and uphold ethical standards during crises. We have established an adaptive legal framework that includes contingency plans and contract revisions, enabling us to respond effectively to unforeseen legal challenges. 

Continuous evaluation and adjustment of our legal strategies ensure their effectiveness and inform our future crisis management planning. By aligning our legal strategy with our broader business goals, we not only protect against legal risks but also support strategic objectives such as maintaining customer trust and preserving financial stability. As we look ahead in Uruguay, major legal challenges for businesses will likely revolve around regulatory changes, compliance with evolving laws, and navigating international trade agreements. I am preparing by staying abreast of legislative updates, anticipating regulatory shifts, and fostering proactive dialogues with stakeholders. This approach ensures that we can swiftly adapt our legal strategies, maintain robust compliance frameworks, and mitigate risks effectively. By integrating legal foresight with strategic business planning, we aim to not only navigate challenges but also seize opportunities for sustained growth in a dynamic and competitive environment.
