How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

We are a very big Group so we do have alternative plans for any kind of crises, everything is well managed and planned, even for the legal dept. To be more specific, the legal dept is in very closed collaboration with the strategy department so any crises in the market should find ready the legal and the strategy colleagues as well. We would have immediate – asap meeting regarding urgent measures and set up force team with second available ones. We would put priorities and make our best group effort for the final goal to achieve, market and group stability.

How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?

The innovation I have enforced into the company is the group work of the lawyers with financial and technical experts as a team since cases concern Energy. Energy cannot be faced as a legal aspect job only, anyone who does that, is leeded to wrong conclusions. This is what the international experience says.

In your opinion, what are the main trends that are salient in your country currently (these can be legal, political, economy or business-based)?

In my country always political, economic and geopolitics were the main criteria that gave the trend and the climate in every job, whether some jobs will be up or down. The legal science is always at the top no matter how these thing are for Greece, good or bad!
