What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

As the legal team of an asset manager operating within a constantly evolving sector, we have consistently engaged in projects prompted by regulatory changes as well as by the company’s inherent commitment to providing exceptional service to its clients, achieved through organic growth, digital transformation, and other initiatives. Naturally, as part of a company equally dedicated to maximising returns, and a pioneer in the implementation of sophisticated strategies across various asset classes, we have frequently contributed to large-scale projects involving the investment and divestment of assets within managed portfolios, including international private equity funds. Additionally, we take pride in our involvement in projects aligned with the company’s commitment to social responsibility, such as the integration of ESG criteria into decision-making processes

Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?    

When we implemented the electronic signature, the process of selecting the digital solution was thorough and labor-intensive, yet the outcome proved invaluable. The adoption of an electronic signature has resulted in significant savings in both time and resources, enabling us to concentrate on critical matters while offering enhanced legal security compared to traditional paper signatures. In light of this experience, I am firmly convinced that any legal team seeking to advance in the digital realm should consider adopting a digital signature as a fundamental tool.

What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?  

Without a doubt, people are the cornerstone. In any organisation, as in life, it is the individuals who truly make the difference. When it comes to achieving goals—whether they pertain to environmental stewardship, business sustainability, customer focus, industry excellence (all of which are of great importance to me), or any other objective—it is people who ultimately determine success or failure. I firmly believe that those of us who hold any form of leadership responsibility have a crucial role to play, and we must be diligent in fulfilling that role in a positive manner. From my experience, I have observed that caring for people not only aligns with my values and benefits them, but it also enhances our environment and circumstances. Therefore, I am convinced that caring for people is the foundation of everything. It positions us, as a society, in a mutually beneficial, win-win situation.
