Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?

Previously, we faced problems and challenges with the manual management of internal requests, which resulted in delays. To avoid this, I implemented a series of improvements: we introduced dynamic files, forms, infographics, checklists, and policies designed to standardise and streamline processes. These resources guide requesters in gathering all the necessary information, significantly reducing response times and ensuring a more organised and personalised management for each request. It also helped clarify procedures, improve communication, and facilitate the identification of areas for improvement.

The implementation was cost-effective, utilising free tools and focusing on investing time to design the forms and guide requesters on how to use them. The results have been notable: increased efficiency, reduced response times, personalised guidance, and a decrease in administrative workload, allowing us to concentrate on more strategic and valuable tasks.

In the current context of Mexico, market diversity, socio-political changes, and constant legal reforms create an uncertain environment. However, it is essential to stay updated and be flexible to adapt to these changes. This facilitates process optimisation and the development of new methodologies and innovative strategies to mitigate risks and protect the company in an ever-evolving landscape.

It is crucial to adopt an open mindset, be proactive, and align our work with the company’s needs. By doing so, in-house lawyers can provide effective counsel and manage transactions in a practical manner.
