What are the most significant cases and transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

We are renegotiating or entering into new agreements for venues and key assets for the company and with key accounts. We’ve also participated in the design of new strategies to adjust to new laws and regulations. Participating in forums where our bottlers are present to set up the way to do business for the remainder of 2024 and in 2025, and draft corresponding documents. Designing and advice on certain legal matters across LATAM has also been key.

Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?  

Participated as speaker and in a huge project regarding ways to handle risk when drafting all sorts of agreements and draft a document on this regard, with the idea that the same can be also circulated and used among the bottlers across LATAM.  This may result in more efficiency in the legal areas of all the stakeholders and reducing time and risks when dealing with contracts.

What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?

Evolution of AI and how that impacts the day-to-day operation of the company and its interaction with third parties and the lack of regulation on that topic. Potential new legislations that may come into place in Mexico under the new administration.
