What are the most significant cases and transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

Since 2021, related to the labour reform, as a big company we were challenged to restructure our way of analysing law, rewriting our contracts, compliance with labor and tax law, so we redefined our templates in order to protect Deacero from any breach of law by our service and construction providers; also we redirect activities, teach and support all Deacero co-workers in order to comply.

Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?

When I arrived at Deacero, there was no contract or legal template to work with, which affected cost hours of the legal department, so taking advantage of that labour reform I created and implemented new templates as a Group to cut some business hours, increase productivity in the legal department and be more efficient with the attention to our inside clients.

What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?

I’m keen to learn more about ESG “Environmental, Social and Governance”, which I think is the future not just for environmental matters, but also all ethics, enterprise transparency, better practices, human rights for all workers and collaborators. In Deacero I’m already involved in environmental industry matters, but I want to explore further which is why I’m looking to start a bootcamp in USDC on this subject.
