What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

Google Cloud, along with other cloud service providers, was invited to participate in certain public sector procurement transaction for google to be considered as a cloud service provider in favour of the Mexican Government, in accordance with our local legislation. I supported several streams of the procedure, including the drafting and review of certain compliance certifications, as well as coordination for Google Cloud partners to participate in such public sector procurement process.

Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense? 

I am currently working with the global team, as a point of contact for LATAM region, to implement certain efficiencies within our contracting system. Also, I have been part of the implementation and standardisation of templates to be uploaded to new internal contracting tools that will create efficiencies within the whole company.

What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why? 

Inclusion. A more just and equitable society is really important for me. Since inclusion (i) helps to break down several barriers within a lot of environments (work and non-work related); (ii) promotes understanding and respecting people from different backgrounds; and (iii) leads to a more harmonious and peaceful world, I consider inclusion is a basic characteristic in every aspect of our life. I work every day on ensuring I’m informed, prepared and with a good understanding of what does inclusion means in our day-to-day tasks.
