What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

Over the past year, our legal team has been involved in several significant transactions, including two particularly complex mergers that required extensive due diligence and integration planning. Both were cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions and complex regulatory frameworks. I played a key role in drafting and reviewing merger agreements, coordinating with external counsel, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The mergers were successfully completed, creating a stronger market presence, and streamlined operations for the newly formed entities.

Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?

Our legal team provides legal advice to different businesses across LATAM and support to multiple manufacturing sites in Mexico to avoid supply chain disruption; thus, the company is a highly regulated company that must comply with different government authorizations/certifications. Thus, to avoid miss any deadline and concentrate everything in a single repository, I took the initiative to pull together all these information and create a user-friendly system assigning owners with automated reminders for upcoming deadlines.  The new system significantly reduced the time spent on tracking deadlines and minimised errors and avoid to incurred in significant expenses with expensive software.

What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?

In my professional role, I actively seek opportunities to support and promote sustainable practices, whether through advising on environmentally friendly business strategies or integrating sustainability criteria into legal frameworks. I believe that by fostering these practices, we can drive positive change and create value for both businesses and society.
