What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

Since we are a spin-off business with complex ongoing contracts, commitments, a specific regulatory context, and a solid population of employees, it has been a significant challenge to provide legal support for a robust organisational structure.

My main objective has been to fundamentally change the nature of the lawyer’s role, as well as the Trust and Compliance Officer’s role, and thus its image within the business by being a partner from the outset in other processes. To achieve this, I focused on expanding my mindset to gain a comprehensive vision of the business by educating myself in other disciplines and closely collaborating with other teams such as leadership, sales, human resources, procurement, and finance to understand their needs and challenges.

In general terms, Trust & Compliance helps ensure that Kyndryl complies with external regulatory and legal requirements—such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)—as well as internal policies and conduct guidelines. At the core of what we do is a robust and effective compliance programme that helps us do the right thing, always.
