What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

Our legal team has recently been involved in the implementation of the IA GPT tool within the organisation, facilitating greater efficiency in legal processes. We have also managed several M&A operations across multiple countries, alongside rolling out regional compliance programs with a focus on antitrust and anti-money laundering regulations. Additionally, we are working on key e-commerce initiatives with various marketplaces, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements. There is certainly never a dull moment.

Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?

I would highlight two examples: first, involving myself in courses and training with the business to significantly reduce the law firms’ expenses in day-to-day operations, allowing us to reserve the budget for key projects; and second, using IA to translate documents and generate an automated chatbot within the organisation to ensure quick and efficient responses to our stakeholders.

What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?

Ethics, in general, plays a key role in every activity that the legal team undertakes, whether it is explicitly labelled as such or not. I prioritise ethics because it’s the way we, as lawyers, can truly make an impact and influence the business in a meaningful way. It is our duty to uphold ethical standards, though this is sometimes forgotten or misused for different purposes. By making ethics the cornerstone of my daily operations, I am able to drive proactive initiatives and offer the best possible options to the business.
