What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in? 

Reckitt is a company that is constantly changing. Therefore, facing corporate and societal changes is one of the challenges that I have had to support throughout my career. Today, maintaining optimal activity and operation of: three plants (for each BU we have); activities with clients and suppliers; and follow-up on contentious issues (in different areas: Labour, consumer, administrative, criminal) becomes an interesting challenge to solve and achieve, since in the face of change and the different mindsets of each BU, this union must be accomplished in order to be a Business Partner of excellence. 

Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?    

My recommendation is to be honest and practical so that internal clients feel confident and understand legal issues (which they are not used to). So, by maintaining a good image abroad, you can work internally (in the legal area) looking for improvement options. One of them is the digitalisation of signatures and the use of artificial intelligence that can support the different activities of the area. It is still an area that we are exploring, but I’m sure that we will be able to implement it in a short time. 

What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?  

It would be “well-being”, the well-being of oneself as a person, a professional, and a member of the company. I think that one should strive to be well with oneself (physically and emotionally), in order to later be able to grow and seek opportunities in career matters (for example, continuing to study and update oneself), so that in the end this personal and professional growth supports the business objectives and leads to achieving the goals together.
