What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

The most significant cases and transactions undertaken by the Latam Legal team include: handling complex commercial litigations and arbitrations successfully resulting in positive outcome to Trinasolar; the acquisition of a 700MWp pv project in Brazil; and the successful acquisition of more than 10 PMGD and utility scale projects under development in Chile from several local developers and successfully flip those projects to two final investors under Build-Transfer-Operate scheme

Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?

We have implemented an internal platform called Legal Consultancy System on a Zero Cost – High Impact basis which system allow Biz departments requiring Legal support from us to upload “legal services tickets” in order to have traceable and measurable metrics of delivery by the Legal team across the region

What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?

In the Latam Legal department what we care the most about is to have a close and personalized service with the commercial, development, construction, and O&M departments in order to act as a permanent counselor on a day-to-day basis to maintain full alignment between lawyers and Biz people at all times. Performance Goals of the Legal team have specific linkage with commercial success and revenues of the Company.
