 We have engaged in court approved raids against brand counterfeiters which has shown immediate and significant positive impact on sales volumes, closed litigations that have been ongoing for over ten years at my earlier organisation, and mediated a conflict by giving legal and commercial advice to business to resolve business disruption and potential litigation.

I also worked on Power Purchase Agreements and conducted an ethics investigation against a senior employee.

Legal teams should proactively share legal implications, risks, and regulatory updates in a way that is easy for business stakeholders to understand, while business teams should articulate their goals and concerns clearly.

Legal teams should align their strategies with the company’s business goals. Understanding the broader business objectives allows legal professionals to provide advice that supports growth while mitigating risks.

Involving the legal team early in the decision-making process prevents issues down the line. Whether it’s a new contract, product launch, or regulatory challenge, legal advice from the start ensures compliance and reduces risk. It also reduces the hassle for business to undo something that they have already worked on, if legal is approached at the end and legal raises any concerns.

The legal team should help business stakeholders understand legal considerations such as compliance, contract terms, and risk factors. This empowers business leaders to make informed decisions and avoid legal pitfalls.
