Honda de Mexico
In common with many of the major international automobile manufacturers, Honda de Mexico maintains a significant presence in the country, taking advantage of the beneficial industrial environment and access to the US market. The Honda Mexico legal team faces increased challenges in risk-management due to the surrounding socio-economic climate, but these challenges have been met with expert advice. Along with this, issues relating to employment laws and regulations will likely make up a large part of the team’s upcoming work, as they have done for much of the company’s recent history. Dealing with export laws and securing supply and planning permission for expanding production efforts provide further challenges for the Honda Mexico legal team, whose experiences in dealing with these and other issues in support of Honda’s activities have made them among the most proficient in-house counsel Mexico has to offer. A notable member of the team is legal coordinator Alejandro Bulman Rayas, who is an expert at negotiation and strategic management of objectives, and has extensive experience of in-house legal work following his three-and-a-half-year tenure at PepsiCo before moving to Honda in August 2014.
