Tran Bui is the vice president, legal and local ethics officer of Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam. She joined the company in 2019. Her role operates as part of the senior leadership team, with key responsibilities that include strategic and legal advisory, commercial support to the business, and regulatory risk management. She also serves as lead counsel on highly sensitive and confidential legal matters and provides leadership to the local legal team. In addition, Tran’s role also has a strong focus on governance and compliance frameworks, including the monitoring and tracking of compliance, leading investigations and establishing a culture of compliance throughout the organisation. She also oversees personal data management and corporate secretarial matters.

Tran Bui led the teams to successfully complete the land lease extension project, accomplished the due diligence process and license stage for the Greenfield project over expectation. In addition, she actively contributes and is involved in initiatives to strategic projects, such as M&A projects. Under her leadership, compliance culture and protocols, the ethical standards of corporate and organisation are successfully set up, fostering a culture of integrity among associates. She proposed and successfully built the new organisational structure for the legal department, such as the legal partner model of business, to bring effective legal support.

Prior joining Coca-Cola Vietnam, Tran took the role of head of legal at a Canada-based life insurer. She led the team to take responsibilities for all aspects of legal work, general legal services, regulatory compliance matters, corporate governance matters of the Company’s operation in Vietnam. She was recognised and honored as Asia Star of Excellence by the Corporate.

Tran is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association and Ho Chi Minh City In-house Counsel Club.
