Juan is responsible for managing and overseeing the legal function of Ferrero’s Area International, which sits across UK & Ireland, Central Asia & Caucasus, CIS, South America, and Mexico & Central America regions. In addition to this role, he is the PMO for global legal operations. Prior to joining Ferrero, he practised in the fields of public and TMT law.
He got his Juris Doctor, with his final dissertation being awarded a Laureate Thesis Award and pursued two advanced postgraduate degrees on constitutional and administrative law from Bogota’s Universidad Sergio Arboleda, where he went on to teach constitutional law for 15 years.
He also obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in US Law & Government with further concentrations in Administrative Law & Regulatory Practice and Communications Law & Policy at American University Washington College of Law, where he earned the Scholar of the Year Award for 2006-07 and won the Judge Jerry Hermele Book Award.
Juan is a founding member of the Internet, E-Commerce, Telecommunications and Computer Law Researching Group (GECTI) at Universidad de los Andes School of Law and has co-authored a book on the law and published numerous specialised legal articles.
