Navigating Regulatory Approvals in Indonesia: Successfully managed the dynamic legal process to secure the construction licenses in Indonesia. Worked closely with different government authorities to obtain necessary approvals under the new regulations and ensure compliance with the latest legal standards.

Company Structuring: Structured mechanisms for fractional and timeshare sales globally, collaborating with both internal and external advisors, ensuring that the offerings complied with regulatory requirements while meeting business objectives.

Acquisition of Resorts: Acquiring new resort properties in Thailand, India, Cambodia and Maldives, contributing to the expansion of the company’s portfolio globally

Litigation Avoidance: Prevented litigation by proactively addressing potential disputes and navigating complex legal frameworks, ensuring the protection of company interests.

Settlements: Achieved a satisfactory settlement in a number of claims, demonstrating strategic risk management.

What is a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about, and why?

I am passionate about the hospitality, travel, and entertainment industry. It is a fast-paced nature of the business, and there is never a dull day. There’s always a new challenge to tackle, whether it’s related to tax, IP, insurance, commercial and legal strategy, food and wine tasting(!) or people management.

Beyond the daily operations, there is the industry’s potential to make a positive impact. It offers us a unique opportunity to uplift communities—by creating jobs in the regions we operate, engaging in meaningful CSR initiatives (our group is involved in several charitable efforts), and collaborating with the team to ensure our members have a safe, memorable and enjoyable experience when they stay with us.
