Spotlight on: Leading Legal Excellence in Litigation

With over 26 years of experience in the legal field, I currently lead the Litigation Department at Exim Banca Romaneasca. I assumed this role more than 11 years ago, overseeing the management of litigation for EximBank, now known as Exim Banca Romaneasca. My career began at the Ministry of Finance, where I served as a legal advisor specializing in litigation. I then advanced to coordinating litigation management activities at CEC Bank.

In my view, the role of an in-house lawyer specializing in litigation extends far beyond managing court cases. It also involves proactively identifying solutions to prevent disputes by supporting the organization’s structures in areas such as judicial procedures, insolvency, and enforcement processes.

A key priority for me has been enhancing the legal function, starting with fostering a deep understanding of its role and embedding a culture of legal awareness within the litigation department and the organization.

The legal function often transcends its traditional support role to act as a strategic partner, a contribution that becomes particularly evident during times of crisis or significant legislative change.
