Jorge serves as the General Counsel for Marsh McLennan in the Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) region. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, advising senior leadership on growth and risk management strategies, and overseeing adherence to company policies and procedures. Jorge collaborates closely with the region’s senior executives to set the strategic direction for LAC’s Legal & Compliance teams. 

Prior to his current position, Jorge was the Head of Legal & Compliance for Guy Carpenter and Carpenter Marsh Fac in Latin America & Caribbean. Before joining Guy Carpenter, he held the role of Head of Legal & Compliance for Marsh Colombia from 2010 to 2015, during which he also supported Mercer in the Andean & Caribbean region from 2012 to 2015. 

Earlier in his career, Jorge held various legal positions of increasing responsibility at Liberty Colombia, a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual. From 2002 to 2010, he served as Corporate Counsel, Compliance Officer, and Corporate Governance Director. Jorge holds a law degree from The Sabana University and a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Law from the University of Miami. He also has specialisations in Contracts and Commercial Law from Universidad del Rosario in Colombia.
