Senior Director, Assistant General Counsel | Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium
Marc Weinroth is Senior Director, Assistant General Counsel for the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium, where he is responsible for all legal matters, risk management, and government affairs. Marc oversees the organisation’s litigation portfolio and drafts and negotiates a variety of agreements ranging from vendors to sponsorships. In addition to providing advice to all Dolphins and Stadium business units, Marc also supports the legal functions of the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, Miami Open tennis tournament, and non-profit entities Dolphins Cancer Challenge and Miami Dolphins Foundation. Marc has practiced law for seventeen years in the Miami area. Prior to his role with the Dolphins and Stadium, Marc was Counsel at Jones Day, where his practice focused on representing universities in athletics-related litigation and internal investigations. Marc also served as Assistant General Counsel at the University of Miami, where he oversaw the Athletic Department’s legal work and represented the University’s interests in a variety of other practice areas. Prior to UM, Marc began his career as an associate at the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in its complex commercial litigation practice group. Marc received his JD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and holds a BA degree from the University of Florida. During his time at Penn Law, Marc also completed a Certificate of Study in Business and Public Policy from The Wharton School and interned for a sports agency that represents professional basketball players. Marc currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Sports Foundation, the Advisory Board for the Dolphins Cancer Challenge, and the Advisory Board for the University of Miami School of Law’s Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Program. Marc also teaches sports law courses as an adjunct professor at UM Law.
