Ms Plastino has 25+ years of experience in the technology and telecom industries, as well as in multinational investments in Latin America. She is currently based in Miami, FL and oversees a team of 20 attorneys and 2 regulatory experts. As EVP, General Counsel & Compliance Officer of Cirion, a leading digital infrastructure and technology company that serves over 5,000 Latin America-based and global customers, she is responsible for all legal, regulatory, and compliance affairs. 

Ms Plastino joined the company in 2007 and has led the legal department for 16 years, playing a key role in the numerous acquisitions and subsequent corporate integrations and business transformation processes that the organisation went through (which previously was the Latin American operations of Lumen Technologies, CenturyLink, Level 3 Communications, Global Crossing, and Impsat Fibre Networks). 

Prior to joining Impsat in Argentina, Valeria worked at the Argentine law firm Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi as a corporate attorney, at StarMedia Network Inc. as VP and Associate General Counsel in New York and Miami, and as a Corporate Associate at the international law firm Paul Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. 

Valeria holds an LLB degree from the National University of La Plata School of Law, Argentina, a postgraduate degree in business law from the University of Bologna, Italy, and a Master of Law (LL.M.) degree in International Legal Studies from New York University School of Law, New York, USA. She has also completed the Executive Education Programme, “Management Programme for Lawyers,” at Yale University – Yale School of Management, USA. 

She is fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian and admitted to practise law in New York and Buenos Aires.
