Why are in-house lawyers well-placed to drive change in their organisations?

Additionally, our knowledge of local and international regulations allows us to spot opportunities for enhancement. We have a 360-degree view of the business, working with suppliers, clients, and third parties, which enables us to effectively communicate the sustainability message throughout our community.

It can be challenging to measure a company’s track record in environmentally friendly behaviour. What, in your opinion, has mostly been missed in discussions about how green a company is?

I believe that companies and legal teams have not yet embraced automation and invested sufficiently in technology. For precise and crucial data reporting on environmental impact, businesses and lawyers must prioritise technological investments. There are several companies that offer comprehensive solutions to address this need.
