Olivares joined Sodexo Peru in 2010 and leads a legal function that provides support across all the different areas of the company such as business development, finance, human resources, operational matters and corporate affairs. Another prominent member of the team is deputy manager of labour relations, Evelyn Bustamante, who joined Sodexo’s HR team in 2010 and in 2016 became part of the legal team. ‘Bustamante has excellent personal skills and outstanding knowledge of labour regulation for the dispute resolutions and developing labour policies for all employees’, says Olivares. The overall aim of the legal function is to ‘provide high quality legal services to the company and our teams so that they can achieve Sodexo’s objectives in a way that minimises legal risks and costs’, adds Olivares. In order to obtain these results, the company’s lawyers have become creative innovators who work under high standards of integrity and ethics to contribute to the company´s strategic goals and corporate responsibility policies.
