Topping Fortune’s Global 500 list of the world’s largest companies by revenue, Walmart has had successful operations in Latin America for several years, and legal support to its Argentina subsidiary is provided by a team led by distinguished general counsel Brenda Puig, an inclusion in 2017’s GC Powerlist Argentina. Nominated for its ‘vast experience and knowledge of the major retail [sector]’, the team deals and manages ‘a wide range of topics’ to ensure the legal profile of the company is secure.
Also praised for its collaborative ability, Walmart Argentina’s legal team works in conjunction with its internal tax team, assisting on the compliance with all local and other applicable tax codes.
