Erdemir is a Turkish steel producer which began production in 1965. It is among the largest steel producers worldwide, and the largest iron and steel company in Turkey. Since its creation, Erdemir has been adding value to the Turkish and global economy with its high-quality production of steel. The company continues to pursue investments in order to meet the ever increasing demand for flat steel, contribute to the development of its domestic industry, increase product and service diversity; improve production and productivity of high added value products, and constantly keep abreast with technological developments. With ambitious expansion goals of raising its share in the automotive sector to 50% and entering the top three steel producers in the world, Turkish steel producer Erdemir will be relying on its legal department more and more over the next few years. The team has already assisted the company in 2016 on securing a contract with the Linde Group to design and construct an air separation unit in Iskenderun, southern Turkey, the largest of its kind owned by an industrial gas company in Turkey and the company’s first international joint venture in its 50 year history.
