Melco Resorts & Entertainment (Melco), formerly known as Melco Crown Entertainment, is a developer, owner and operator of casino gaming and entertainment casino resort facilities in Asia. In December 2006, the company listed on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol ‘MPEL’, successfully raising in excess of US$1.14bn in the process. In April 2017, the ticker symbol on NASDAQ has been changed to ‘MLCO’ as the company started a journey of transformation. Vice president of legal affairs and corporate secretary Petros Liasis joined the Cyprus subsidiary of Melco in February 2018, bringing in his strategy, negotiation, and business planning skills. Prior to assuming his current role, Liasis spent nearly seven years at Hermes Airports, working as part of the senior leadership team and giving advice on legal and compliance matters.
