Highly commended for her performance as lead counsel on several complex matters in the asset finance market in the Africa region, Shalini Bhuchar has developed as a reputation for being an Africa expert having vast experience on loan and lease financings including capital markets financings, operating leases and charters, single asset and portfolio disposals and acquisitions. As a member of the Hogan Lovells Africa group, Bhuchar has worked with many notable Africa based clients, including African Export-Import Bank, who she has advised on matters such as the approximately US$50m financing of two Bombardier Q400 aircraft for Air Côte d’Ivoire, as well as in relation to a circa US$2bn pre-delivery and delivery financing for Kenya Airways for a total of 20 aircraft.
