Having joined DLA Piper in 1998, David Church has been integral to the firm’s international growth including its development in Africa, where he has been working on the development of DLA Piper’s Africa practice and particularly the DLA Piper Africa alliance of law firms in Africa. In his role of international development partner, Church has demonstrated a commitment and ability to take the firm into new regions, having previously overseen office opening in the Middle East, developments in India as well as in Africa. During his two decades of experience at the firm, Church has worked on the opening of DLA Piper’s first office in continental Europe as well as the merger which created the firm’s global entity in January 2005.
