His fluency in English, French and Arabic has allowed him to work on significant matters across Africa including disputes arising from the aftermath of the “Arab Spring” in North African countries such as Algeria, Morocco, Egypt and Libya. In recent years, Tevendale has been credited for his advice to multinational energy companies on issues in the continent such as an ICC arbitration regarding the operation of a US$700m energy facility in Algeria as well as fiscal disputes worth several billion dollars arising from the intervention of the Ministry of Finance in offshore PSA interests in a West African State. Tevendale also works extensively in sub-Saharan Africa, working on cases in Madagascar, Angola, Tanzania and Namibia.
