Having been at Bci since 1987, current general counsel Fernando Carmash Cassis has an advanced understanding of the historical Chilean bank’s operations allowing him to seamlessly ensure a best-in-class legal service is provided throughout organisation. Given his standing and long tenure at the company, Carmash is a distinguished figure among Chile’s in-house lawyers especially within the financial sector. Highlighting his recent achievements at the bank, one nominator has the following to share: ‘Carmash has been responsible for leading the legal management of Bci in its international expansion, being the first Chilean bank to be partner of a bank in the US, namely, City National Bank of Florida. He also led the purchase of Walmart’s
credit card business in Chile’.
