Société Générale’s in-house legal team has been a major component of its success for many years, and enjoys excellent coordination with senior management through group general counsel Dominique Bourrinet.
The team is heavily involved with the implementation of digital solutions in order to improve its internal efficiency. Among other innovations, the team has put a case management system into place in its litigation department.
Among other M&A activity, including divesting the Group of many environmentally-unfriendly assets as part of an overall effort aimed at promoting green initiatives, the team oversaw the acquisition of leading banking-as-a-service company Treezor in late 2018. This move will allow the company to expand its innovation in the banking sector.
