US global investment banking firm Jeffries has served companies and investors for over 55 years, offering deep sector expertise across a full range of products and services in investment banking, equities, fixed income, asset and wealth management. Hong Kong is the company’s Asia headquarters and the legal team there oversee all legal matters across the region for the business. The team has recently been involved in a number of significant deals and transactions, ranging from M&A, equity, investment grade debt to restructuring and leveraged finance. In early 2018, Jefferies entered into a strategic alliance with BOC International Holdings (BOCI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of China. The agreement required the legal department’s expertise substantially. Under the agreement, BOCI and Jefferies will have the ability to jointly provide investment banking advisory and capital markets services to clients globally. In addition, BOCI and Jefferies will distribute co-branded equity research to their global base of institutional clients and will continue to provide sales and trading services to their clients with respect to the China and Hong Kong equity markets.
