Renewable energy company Falck Renewables is based in Milan, but has installed capacity in the UK, France, Spain and in the US. The company’s group legal and corporate affairs department is made up of nine lawyers who pride themselves on the mix of competences and experiences in each member reflecting the structure of the group: ‘an international, multi-centred and business-diversified player’, according to group general counsel, Lucia Monti. The team comprises of head of legal North Europe, M&A and business development Alessandro Perazzi, head of legal South Europe M&A and business development Giovanni Stucchi, legal counsel Danila Pino, senior counsel Marco Lenzetti, compliance officer Lorenza Robotti, corporate affairs and company secretary Annalisa Nanni, corporate affairs and company secretarial duties for international companies Federica Casati and business support staff Pietro Erli. Some of the teams’ recent major feats in 2019 include the estimated $3.6m investment in a 6.6MWh energy storage system in Massachusetts that will be integrated with an already owned solar plant. Also in 2019, the legal team completed the acquisition of five operating wind farms in France from Glennmont for a price of approximately €36.9m.
