Leading the provision of legal advice at Germany’s largest supermarket corporation Edeka, Dr Hubertus Nölting is one of the most outstanding in-house lawyers in the region by virtue of his managerial and legal expertise – and whose remit is concerned with ensuring all legal risks are mitigated to ensure the smooth navigation of the business through its complex and varied challenges. Dr Nölting is a renowned specialist in all applicable legal practice areas relevant to the group, having assumed his current position in 2011 after spending time within Edeka’s internal legal department in various roles, initially working mainly in the areas of corporate and civil law. For over ten years, one of Dr Nölting’s main areas of expertise has been antitrust law, and complementing his current corporate and legal role, he is a member of the Legal Committee and the Working Group on Antitrust Law in the German Trade Association and contributes to industry discussions on a regular basis as a member of the Antitrust Experts’ Round of Independent Retail Europe.
