Peña is legal director Latin America and the Caribbean for Bacardí y Compañía, a famous brand that operates in the highly regulated spirits industry. The wide-ranging role requires him to have immense knowledge of laws relating to spirit production in a number of jurisdictions, cultures and societies. Demonstrating his value to the company, Peña worked on Bacardi’s 2018 acquisition of Patrón Tequila for more than US$5bn.
