When Colombian airline Avianca merged with Transportes Aereos del Continente Americano (TACA) in 2009, the resultant company AviancaTaca Holdings instantly became one of the region’s largest airlines. In 2013 the company rebranded its corporate name to Avianca. The legal team responsible for handling matters in Central America are split between the regional headquarters in El Salvador and Costa Rica. Key members of the team include legal coordinator Marian Ovando de Orellana, fleet legal administrator Gabriela Fernandez Miller and LifeMiles legal administrator Diana Hidalgo.
