Banco Nacional de Panamá
The national Bank of Panama, Banco Nacional de Panamá is notable among national banks in that it is unable to issue tender itself as the national currency of the country is the US dollar, which provides somewhat unique challenges to the bank’s staff. The legal function of the bank, too, is required to master the complexities of the specific operations of the institution, which requires the department’s individual members to exercise skill on a range of matters affecting the bank’s day-to-day business. They recently facilitated the opening of Banco Nacional de Panamá’s 79th branch. At the opening, Panamanian president Juan Carlos Varela was present and said, ‘I congratulate the National Bank for this initiative that will provide an optimal solution to many citizens who now have a new and complete choice of banking services’.
