The real estate division of the prominent El Salvador-based conglomerate Grupo Poma, Grupo Roble offers real estate development and construction services for shopping malls, office spaces, hotels, entertainment areas and housing projects. In February 2017, Grupo Roble secured a $45m credit facility, a successful transaction which can be attributed to the skillset of the legal team. Carlos Villalobos leads Grupo Roble’s legal function in the capacity of legal director. As a veteran in the industry, Villalobos has worked for the Poma Group for nearly 40 years, serving as legal director of the Latin American region, covering 10 countries for the last 17 years. The team is made up of 30 people covering all areas within Grupo Roble including the administrative, financial, architecture, engineering and marketing functions.
