Per Lyrvall has been country manager of Sweden and executive vice president of Stora Enso since 2013 after becoming general counsel in 2008, having first joined as a legal counsel in 1994. Stora Enso is a world leading sustainable and renewable biomaterials producer of wood, paper and packaging. Its materials used in the paper, packaging, construction, retail and other industries. As the general counsel, Lyrvall has been involved the firm’s regulatory systems development which is a particular important part of its production as a sustainable resource company. In this regard, in December 2017 Stora Enso announced that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) to facilitate long term research, development, and education in the field of forestry and bio-based materials. He is also a member of the board of Montes del Plata and Bergvik Skog, and a deputy member of the Board of Skogsindustrierna.
