Mikael Schmidt first joined the SCA Group in 1992, and prior to his current role of senior vice president, group function legal affairs, general counsel and board secretary, he served as head of legal affairs in Brussels for SCA’s packaging operation, which was recently divested. Assuming his current position in 2012, he brings extensive and wide ranging experience in international business legal matters, and strong commercial acumen to this broad senior legal and managerial position. As the company’s general counsel Schmidt is a member of SCA’s corporate senior management team, ensuring his voice is heard during all stages of strategic business planning, displaying the trust in which his advice is held in within the upper echelons of the SCA organisation.
