Team size: Three 

Can you briefly explain how the legal team is structured, highlighting key individuals and their role within the department?

Our team consists of three lawyers, Camilla Varhaug Søberg, Anne Kobbe, and Ragna Bergholt Rom. All of us has several years of experience working at the big law firms in Oslo, Norway. All of us have high competence within key legal areas for the company and the value chain of food, including contract law, retail, and negotiations. In addition, each lawyer has their legal areas that they are specialised in on and have professional responsibility for, including competition law, corporate law, employment law, finance regulation, real estate, and intellectual property.

What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

It is publicly known that our team is responsible for the legal handling of the so called ‘price hunter case,’ whereas NorgesGruppenASA received a notice from the Norwegian Competition Authority (“NCA”) on 15^th of December 2020.

How does the team contribute constructively to the growth and expansion of the company?

The legal team has been involved in both early stage of strategic processes, important decisions making, transactions, and we act as an important legal advisor to the group’s business and management.
